Elayna's Birthday Party

So yesterday we had Elayna's birthday party after school. Eight little girls along with my three made for a fun and crazy time. The weather cooperated so they had lots of fun playing in the backyard and then they also played all the old party games - pin the tail on the donkey, hot potatoe, and musical chairs. We had snack time, lots of play time, a craft, a pizza dinner, cake, and presents - not a dull moment. Here's some pics of the little monkeys:

Just when we started to think Spring was really here, we got a dump of the white stuff this morning. The boots got unpacked and the girls are overjoyed to be playing in it.

Since I have a bunch of projects started, but nothing finished, I have no projects to post. It seems that my attention span is short, my naps are long, and reading is my first interest lately. But I'm feeling good, and enjoying the lazy days.


Here's some pics of the girls' headshots done recently. My sister is starting a photography business and willingly swapped some sewing for a photoshoot so I didn't have to fight with the girls at a department store studio this year.

We're having a nice lazy day - no school, no appointments, not even a vehicle in the driveway to go anywhere. I love having a day like this in the middle of the week . . .

Twenty-nine for the very first time . . .

Well today is my birthday and I'm busy getting back into the daily routine after being spoiled for the past two and a half weeks by visiting the in-laws for Christmas and then taking off on an 8-day cruise with my family. We went to the Eastern Carribbean and visited San Juan, St. Thomas, Antigua, Tortola and Nassau. We visited some gorgeous beaches, tried snorkelling for the first time, went shopping, and on a catamaran trip. It was wonderful!! Especially since we had never travelled that far or to anywhere that beautiful before and because we knew the girls were being well taken care of at Grampa & Gramma's.
