So yes, my body is still being taken over by a precious little one. And thank you to some wonderful ladies and strangers these past weeks that told me I looked small for how far along I am (they make up for the comment I got asking if I was due already - I LOVE how people feel that pregnant women's weight gain is fair play for commenting). And I'm actually loving being preggo through this Summer - no school commitments for the kids, easy suppers because my hubby loves to BBQ, and my AC is keeping me cool on warmer days. The baby is already head-down and I can often figure out which side it's flipped to by feeling the back and bum and little feet on opposite side (this baby has been super active and bumps protrude on a regular basis). And I'm already over 30 weeks - less than 10 to go!

our kindergarten graduate . . .
Elayna's kindergarten put on a little program today to celebrate the end of the school year. They did a great job and enjoyed some cupcakes afterwards. Now Summer has officially started over here - no more busstop, no more early mornings, and no more making lunches for 11 weeks!

our preschool graduate . . .
Tonight Chantel graduated preschool. She had a great year filled with learning, field trips, painting (her favorite), singing, coloring, and lots of social development. She also had a great teacher who kept class exciting for her. Now for Summer break and then kindergarten - where have the years gone?!

our little flowergirl . . .
So here's a pic of our little flowergirl from the wedding this past week. She did quite well in the church - walked down most of the aisle by herself, just got a little confused when the other flowergirls started running back and forth down the aisle. She even stood at the front with the bridal party and watched as the bride was given away. The formal pictures on the other hand were a different story - she fell asleep on the drive over and cried on every picture. But at least she wasn't the only one, they'll be amusing pictures to look back on later.

one hour pajamas . . .
Chantel was feeling a little left out the other night while Elayna was attending yet another birthday party (seems half her class has their birthdays within a week of each other) so I cheered her up by letting her pick out some fabric from my stash and whipping up a Summer nightgown just in time for bed. This seriously took no time at all to make and I LOVE how it turned out. Now if I was only ambitious enough to whip up two or three more of these for each of the girls, they'd be set for the whole Summer.
Chantel's Sports Day
This morning Chantel's preschool had their Sports Day. There were lots of games, a scavenger hunt, a candy scramble (the girls came home with WAY too much), and a potluck/hot dog lunch. It was great - especially since they had a couple tents set up for shade, a big fenced in grassy area that the little ones couldn't escape from, and it was only a half day. One of the highlights was a craft where the kids got to make their own visors - perfect idea because it was hot and they kept them on since they made them themselves (kits are from Walmart).

shoes . . .
Today we spent entirely too much time shoe shopping for the girls. They each ended up with a different pair from three different stores. And there were more stores that we looked at too. I cannot believe how opinionated Chantel was about hers and am already starting to dread the teenage clothes shopping years. But now they're all set for a family wedding and church - their current Dora and Princess sandals weren't cutting it. They just better not outgrow them before the Summer ends . . .
(and yes, they're in age order).
