My older girls cannot keep their hands off of their baby sister (which I'm sure is very typical - their own live doll!), but I cannot stand it when they pick her up and put her on chairs, couches, or beds and then walk away!! My baby barely crawls, and doesn't stand at furniture yet, so I think the risk of suddenly lunging herself off of something is quite probable. And it doesn't matter how many times I tell the older girls (especially my oldest!) to stop picking her up, dragging her around, and the likes - they just do it again as soon as my back is turned! And the exersaucer, playpen, and highchair are becoming less and less entertaining for my little one - all she wants is some toys and the floor so she can explore.
Somedays, I really look forward to kindergarten.

Presents from Grampa & Gramma
The girls received a special delivery this morning (care of Uncle Dennis & Missy) - toe socks, a necklace kit, and some beautiful bracelets to match their Sunday dresses (too bad we opened the gift after the Easter service this morning). They were very excited to exchange their tights for the new socks and made necklaces with the words "FUN" and "GIRL".

Our stick family portrait
Thought I'd steal this idea too - they are pretty cute. I think I may want some return address labels for Christmas cards next year.

A day at the park with the ankle biters
We spent another morning at the park today. It is really starting to look like Spring around here, we can even mow our grass again!
After nap time, the girls discovered a new workout for Mom which involved attaching themselves to my legs and being dragged around. I'm amazed at their arm strength - I gave up before they did.

New bunkbeds!
I've been wanting Chantel out of her toddler bed for awhile now (her limbs banging against the wall in her sleep was our sign that she'd outgrown it) so I had just started looking into buying them a bunk bed. We were going to buy new but came accross a great deal in the Buy & Sell yesterday and had to grab it. This set was only used for a couple years and is in great shape - and the mattresses are even Sealy Posturpedic, the girls will be sleeping in comfort! It can come apart in to two separate beds and came with two sets of drawers for underneath (the second set is hiding behind the other for now). I am so happy with it - it was worth the two hours of driving and having to take two vehicles when we picked it up. The only problem is that Chantel moved into a bigger bed so suddenly, that I haven't started on her quilt yet. I guess I'll have to bump that up on my list of projects.

I stole this pic . . .
cause it was just too cute and it's my kid. Sorry, sis - it won't happen again ;-)
